Petie Point - Private cottage w/a view, Dock, SUPs, Kayaks

We were very pleased with our stay at the cottage. Everything matched the listing perfectly. The hosts provided a helpful book with information and local suggestions, which was great for those unfamiliar with the area. The location was fantastic. The view from the screened porch was stunning and peaceful throughout the day. We enjoyed watching the beautiful geese during our stay. The deck and boat launch were excellent, especially for my husband who was participating in a fishing tournament. Both were in great condition. We had a lot of fun using the kayaks. We're already looking forward to our next visit. No disappointments at all!

I stayed here for a week long fishing trip. The location on the lake was excellent, about the halfway point of the lake, making fishing areas very accessible! Also the property had its own dock and boat ramp right next to it, which I loved. The house was clean and had most amenities. The screened in patio is nice. Could be cleaned a bit more, but I was also there as the pollen was just beginning. Overall I really enjoyed my stay!!!

We LOVED staying here!!!!! Peaceful, beautiful view, very spacious, clean, plenty of seating and the porch was just amazing. The lake is gorgeous and the area is super private and serene. the kitchen have everything we need , Each bedroom is very nice and the beds are all cozy! Definitely the perfect place for a getaway in nature. I’ll definitely be back as soon I can. the host was very helpful and answers very quickly. everything was 10/10

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful place located right in front of a stunning lake! The views were absolutely breathtaking and made our time there so peaceful and refreshing. Lauren was incredibly responsive and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. She also provided a great list of nearby places to visit, which was super helpful for exploring the area. The little touches really made a difference – there was coffee, spices, and even games to enjoy, which added to the cozy, home-like feel of the space. Plus, the place is very kid and pet-friendly, which was perfect for our family. We truly loved our stay and would highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway!

Our family spent a few days together to play and rest. Our three older children said they never wanted to leave…. the kayaks and arcade games had a lot to do with that 😁. If you are looking for a peaceful and intimate space to spend time… this is it!!

My wife and I along with our black lab (Lucy) had a wonderful time. We spent a week hiking and fishing. We rented a fishing pontoon boat from Lake Murray Boat Rentals for several days and Scott delivered it right to our dock. I was very impressed with the fire pit it. Two nights were in the 60’s and the design made for a perfect fire. Lucy went swimming every day and got used to the ducks, geese and deer in the morning and early evenings. The property is perfect for sitting by the lake or in the screened in porch with wonderful views and very private. Thumbs up.

The place is in a great spot overlooking the lake. You're off the main part of the lake in a cove which makes it great for SUP/kayaks which are provided. If you want to explore the lake (highly recommend) rent a boat from www.lakemurrayboatrentals dot com. If you have kids make sure to add the tube....our boys had so much fun on it. From the boat rental dock to the private dock at the cottage is a 10 min ride across the lake. We got a chance to meet Lauren and Scott who were both very helpful and responsive to our texts. We had more questions than usual for a host because we're looking to move to that area. If you're a foodie there's not a whole lot of choices for good food. Our best find for pizza was Laurens recommendation for Station 2. The Lazy Creek taphouse has a food truck daily (5-8pm) that are very good. There's some chain food and local restaurants in the area about 20 minute out but nothing that stands out. If you're looking for a relaxing vacation spot this is it!

Location, location, location!!! What a great piece of property, beautiful view, quality dock and great swimming (no yucky bottom). Perfect size home for our family of four and dog. We keep a boat at lake murray and stay at the lake 3-4 weeks a year. I think this is now our favorite Airbnb and we definitely plan to book the rental again. You can’t go wrong at this spot. We have vacationed on Lake Murray almost annually since the 1990's. This is one of the top locations we have stayed in on the lake in terms of view and water/dock access. The screen porch is ideal. My husband and I will definitely stay here again if it's available.

We’ve been caregivers for 1.5 years. First vacation away. Needed someplace that we felt away from it all but close to home if needed. We quickly felt so relaxed by the beautiful Florida room and the sounds of nature . We definitely will rebook . If a larger group coming the only drawback is one bathroom, which is obviously not the owners fault . Clean and comfortable bed, which is a big deal to me . Again can’t say enough about the location .

My husband and I will look back on our week here with such sweet memories. We celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary and loved soaking up the sun lakeside. Our pup loved it as well!

I am a die hard fisherman and this place was perfect for launching my bass boat everyday and fishing. The location on the lake was private and relaxing and I would definitely return. I would not hesitate to bring my wife and kid with me next time as it would be the perfect spot to relax with a family!

This is a wonderful home and location on the lake. I enjoyed being able to use the private ramp and dock to launch my boat. This was so convenient since I was in a fishing tournament. I also found the home to be exactly as described…..a lovely lake home that was very clean and well furnished. I really enjoyed sitting on the porch and looking out at the water. Lauren was an awesome host and we felt very welcome at her lake home. She was great at communicating with us for check in & had everything listed for checkout……super easy👍 I certainly hope to stay with her again in the near future. I can’t imagine a nicer place to be on the lake.

As a single mom of 3 very active boys this location was perfect for them. This location at the lake was perfect for my little small family. We loved the kayaks that were provided by the host,we put them to use for two day!. The lake view was to die for. We enjoyed staying on the porch enjoying the sunset. I would totally recommend. Hope to rent it again in the future for sure. Loved it!

This was our second stay here and it was even better than the first… which was hard to top. It’s a super cute cottage which is well appointed and cared for, situated on one of the most perfectly beautiful and private lake lots. We rented a boat for several days and it was easy to navigate docking. There’s good fishing in the cove. Our daughters thoroughly enjoy the kayaks and paddle boards. The size of the lot and privacy let us enjoy having our little pups with us. This trip we discovered N’acho Margarita which was a great Mexican restaurant just around the corner. We will definitely be back!

We had a relaxing stay at this quaint little cottage! The views from both the porch and water’s edge chairs were so peaceful. The temperature wasn’t quite warm enough for the standup paddle boards but we did enjoy the kayaks. The cottage had everything we needed for our short stay. We spent 3 weeks at the cottage on the amazing Lake Murray! We came from Michigan with a bass boat and a 12 year old Weimaraner Niki seeking sunshine while working remote. The cottage is exactly as described, comfortable, clean, kitchen is well equipped. Internet is great, never had an issue. The lake front property is big compared to typical lake lots. Lauren and Scott are great hosts, always available if you have a question. Thank you for the generous pet policy! Niki enjoyed the space and swimming in the lake…in March! We would love to come back. Near by in Chapin, 17 min away, there are plenty of shops and restaurants. However, when you are at the cottage, you are in the country. It was wonderful to watch ospreys fishing and listening to the birds signing every morning!

5 star airbnb on lake Murray.

Our family truly enjoyed our stay. The property was lovely, with a private beach, beautiful sunset views, and lots of wildlife! The kids loved hanging out at the lake and spending time on the kayaks and paddleboards. Lauren was extremely helpful and responsive - we would choose to stay here if ever in the area again.

My Family and I came down for the weekend because I was fishing in a bass tournament. We had a great relaxing weekend! The home was everything we were expecting and more. We relaxed out side by the fire pit and had S’mores! They even left treats for our six month old puppy!!! I would definitely recommend this home to anyone and I’ll definitely try to stay here again next time I’m here! Thanks Lauren!!!!

Nice stay. Quiet, peaceful and relaxing. I enjoyed using the SUP, and my husband enjoyed fishing off the dock every day!

What a wonderful vacation getaway spot for my family! We had an amazing time! We enjoyed paddling and kayaking around, especially at sunset. The floats and life jackets that were provided was a hit with my family! Watching the turtles bob around was fun too! This is a beautiful area and at time we felt like we had the lake to ourselves. I can’t wait to book again!

We enjoyed our stay at Petite Point. The cottage was as described. While Lauren left recommendations, we never left the house during our stay. All kitchen appliances and utensils made it easy to make meals and feel right at home. We played in the water all day every day and made great use of the stand up paddle boards and kayaks provided. Scott and Lauren have been a great host. Our house flooded and we need a place to stay so we booked with Lauren. After 2 weeks Scott and Lauren worked with our insurance company so that we had a place to stay for the next 2 months. I was so stressed out but Scott kept reassuring me that he would get everything worked out for us with our insurance company which has been a pain for all of us. He stood by his word and got it worked out for us. They check to see if we need anything and tells us if we do need something just let him know. Scott and Lauren have been a blessing for us. I highly recommend this beautiful place here on Lake Murray. If you love the lake this is the place for you! We love it here! Thank you, Rodney
